Sister Pursglove in the England Manchester LDS Mission: Weekly Letter #59: January 12th, 2021

Hello, hello and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Sorry for not writing last week but life gets crazy nowadays!

CHRISTMAS!
To be perfectly honest, this past Christmas season has been one of the best. We were able to spend a lot of time with other missionaries and just hang out and have a good time. We also were blessed because unfortunately this year we weren't able to eat or be at any members' houses, but we received permission to meet with our districts (a group of missionaries) so that was really fun! We just chilled and ate a lot of food and played games and had a really nice day :)

NEW YEAR'S EVE AND DAY!
For those who don't know, I love New Year's Eve and New Year's day. I think they're some of the best holidays out of the entire year. You just have fun, you see people, you eat an insane amount of food. However, this year due to a pandemic that's currently happening, this holiday slightly changed. We were able to meet with a couple missionaries and do pretty much the same thing that we did on Christmas so another stellar holiday done and over with.

LOCKDOWN?
Yeah--haha England (and all of the United Kingdom for that matter) is not doing too hot with this virus. We've entered our 4th national lockdown and that's been a blast. Oh well. You win some and you lose some.

TRANSFERS?
Well, what do you know? It's transfer time again! I'm staying with Sister Cairns but we're unfortunately saying goodbye to Sister LeBlanc :( We will be moving to Wythenshawe /Altrincham which is about 5 minutes away from where we're living currently. We'll be right next to the mission office (where we go to work every day) so that will be helpful! I'm very excited!!

TIME FLIES
Folks, I only have two transfers left. That's only 3 months. This week I received an email telling me when I'm coming home and it doesn't feel real. It's hard to believe that I've been here for almost 16 months. Time absolutely flies.
