Sister Pursglove in the England Manchester LDS Mission: Weekly Letter #55: November 16th, 2020

hello hello!

Wow—another few weeks pass by and no letter in sight. Forgive me, but it's been absolutely insane so that's why the updates have been not as great. Oh well. Another day another dollar right? This email is also most likely going to be pretty short because we have lots of stuff we have to get done, so if you want more info, email me :)

LOCKDOWN
Yes, we are still in lockdown. Classic. Remember when this pandemic happened in March and everyone was like, "This pandemic will definitely be over by May or June". Hahaha look at us now.

ASSIGNMENT?
Life is going really well with all of that! all of our big projects are now underway, and we're starting to get our Christmas plans finished and finalised. Life is good. Honestly we've had so many meetings over these past 2 weeks it's been insane, and we have a ton of meetings this week as well which is fun. It sounds awful, but it's a lot of fun because we get to "travel" all over the mission which is nice.

STRETFORD?
Stretford is a blessed land. The ward is so good, the members are amazing, and we have 0 complaints. This is the most self-sufficient ward I have ever seen (besides the love of my life Crosby and Oldham). 10/10.

MIRACLES?
Okay, so buckle up folks, here is the biggest miracle of all times, and definitely one of the biggest miracle moments of my entire mission!

At the beginning of this transfer, we were told by President Johnson that as we focused 90% of our time on our assignment, and 10% of our time on our area, that we would see miracles and that the Lord would take care of everything. With that in mind, Sister Johnson and I pressed forward and onwards and upwards.

Fast forward three weeks to this last week. Folks, we got 11 referrals in 5 days. Just so we can all be on the same page, that never happens. Ever. Never. In all the days of my mission, I have only ever received 1 referral. Stuff like this never happens. But it did. Amazing.

THE END?
Overall my life is splendid. I am doing fantastic. I love my mission. I love England. Home sweet home forever, right?
